Bill Buchanan is an associate attorney at Buchanan
& Land, LLP, and has been with the firm since September of 2007.
Bill was born in Columbus , Georgia on September 26, 1980, and has
lived in Columbus for much of his life. He graduated from the
University of Georgia in 2003, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in
History. Bill received his juris doctor from Mercer
University, Walter F. George School of Law in 2007. While in law
school at Mercer, Bill was vice-president of the Phi Delta Phi Legal
Fraternity for the 2005-2006 school year, and co-chaired that
organization, Rehberg Charity Golf Tournament in 2006.
Bill's
practice focuses on general civil litigation. Since joining Buchanan
& Land, LLP, he has worked in a wide variety of areas including
construction law, OSHA Regulations, medical malpractice, wrongful
death, nursing home litigation, personal injury (including motor
vehicle accident and slip and fall cases), appeals of taxing
authority assessments and valuations, landlord-tenant, class action,
and appellate law practice. He also has experience with the
alternative dispute resolution methods of mediation and arbitration.
Bill is licensed to practice law in Georgia and is admitted to
all Superior Courts of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia ,
and the United States District Court for the Middle District of
Georgia. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Columbus
Bar Association, and the Columbus Bar Association Young Lawyers
Division.
