Jim Lamb received his bachelor’s
degree in Political Communication from Florida State, graduating
Summa cum Laude. He then attended the University of
Georgia School of Law, earning his juris doctor in 1995. Jim
then worked for seven years as an Assistant District Attorney in
Waycross and then Covington, Georgia. During his time as
prosecutor, Jim successfully obtained numerous convictions in
many serious cases, including murder and child molestation.
In 2002, Jim opened his own practice in Columbus, where he
concentrated on civil litigation, insurance defense, and
criminal defense.
Jim joined Buchanan & Land in
March 2009, where he has worked on a wide variety of cases.
His primary responsibility is representing Georgia Farm Bureau
insured in civil courts throughout west-central Georgia.
Jim is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and Columbus Bar
Association and is admitted to practice in all of the state
courts of Georgia, including the Supreme Court of Georgia and
the Georgia Court of Appeals. He is also admitted to
practice in the Federal District Court for the Middle District
of Georgia. Jim is a member of the Coweta Falls Chapter of
the Sons of the American Revolution.
